No one's tossed any my way lately, so I'm asking simply based on the replies I'm reading to questions posed by others. I expect those with guilt feelings to let me have it good, but my hope is that you can be honest with yourself and give me a real answer as to why you behave in the manner that you do.

There are those of you who are usually respectful. I'd like your input also.

I often wonder this exact thing about some of the rude responses I read here. My guess is that 95% of the people who post such garbage wouldn't do it in real life. Gutless people tend to gain amazing courage all of a sudden when hiding behind a computer modem and keyboard in the safety of anonymity.

I'd like to say I never insult but when I read my answers I find sometimes when one asks an insulting question I get nasty. I guess I just forget these things I do quickly. I know these who insult are weak people, cuz it is what makes them mean but somehow if a person chooses to be mean I lose respect for them and apparently if someone chooses to be illiterate (had to use spell check to get that one right) then my level of respect goes down and that is not really fair either. Told a guy he needed to work on his rambling problem today.

Thank you for asking these questions. Had you not I would not have reviewed my answers and not seen I have a problem in this area.

In person I insult some who I see as antagonistic, and because I am large, wide shoulders and have a quick wit, people let me get away with it but had I been small with a whiny voice then perhaps I would have a completely different attitude. I think with my body language I also offend the offensive even when I say nothing cuz with some people saying something makes them worse people yet still my body language infuriorates them and brings out the wbad even more so maybe I need a change of heart and to be more accepting of peoples short comongs but really I do not think I want to.
If I had lightening in my finger there would be little piles of dust in my wake.

In all honesty, I usually don't insult people to their faces. It makes them angrier if you don't stoop to their level. I have a hard time understanding someone who feels they have to be rude instead of just stating a viewpoint. I take the same stance here. I know a lot of people put questions on here just to get a reaction. However, there are some questions that seem to be stupid, but I feel like the person might not actually know what he or she is asking, needs the information, and is afraid to ask in person. Instead of being rude like some people can be, I try to take them seriously. I guess the people who hurl insults in this forum are just cowards or have always been in a very insular environment. It can be shocking to discover not everyone is like you. Some people adapt and thrive. Others strike out and are stunted. IMHO

Depends on your reactionary attitude.

It's one of the reasons I have problems with Muslims. Just mention the word Israel or Jewish and you could get beheaded by the nicest Muslim who turns into a raving whatever.

Just mention the term Homosexual on some religious people and you see the same thing.

Mention blacks and you see the same thing.

I once mentioned, to a good friend of mind at work, I was getting tired of the whole Pope thing when John-Paul died and the new guy came in. You should have see the tithies this Catholic man (I didn't know he was Catholic) who had DIVORCED a previous wife (thought that wasn't allowed by them) had over my comment about three full days of POPE and NOTHING BUT THE POPE.

I felt the same way about JFK when he died. That was a solid week of JFK and ONLY JFK and some people got into a tiffy about that too!

I don't need to see the Rotunda live for two solid days with commentary by Huntley and Brinkly that shows even they are running out of things to say.

So, if you're the kind of hot head who doesn't like losing at poker and you throw down your cards, get to your feet and pull a six gun on me, I'm going to handle you with kid gloves.

Hot heads, however, should always remember the poker player they are facing might be faster on the draw then they are, and may not care at all. A lot of hot-headed poker players got blown to kingdom come by the cool, poker faced opponant who shot them before they fully had their own revolver out of the holster.

I simply call them as I see them. In person, I am just as blunt and honest. I don't hate, and I try not to insult people, but when it comes to religions, anything that remotely pushes their beliefs is considered an insult, so I am very blatant in the questions I answer in this particular forum.

I do not, nor will I ever be religious. I have a higher than average IQ, and I am successful in life, and it was no invisible man who did it for me, I did it on my own. I read, i figured, and deducted that the religion that was pounded into my head was all fake due to technicalities and events charted in the bible that are far beyond any belief. Especially when you look at the evidence that is presented to us from the fossilized worlds of the past.

My belief is you are entitled to believe what you want, as I am. The Christan's get mad because of that. so I have on problem pushing their buttons a little, but it is to make them think.
That is my honest answer to you.

PS....I have been fired from about 6 or 7 jobs because of my blunt honesty, so no, I don't hide behind a computer monitor. I am the kind of guy who gets things done, a shaker, one who stirs the soup. Some revere me as an @ssh0le, and that is fine. Others like me, but I am mostly a nice guy, I am just simply not afraid to say what I want to say. Yes I get into trouble for it, but at least I am honest.

I don’t think you’ll get honest answers as this would expose an element that has no power to exist when fully exposed, if you know what I mean.

Having said that, I am usually a nasty and insulting sort, but now I’m thinking maybe I’ll dab a little at self-control and see if I like it or not. Who knows, it probably couldn’t hurt any. Time will tell. I may keep a small journal to post progress, but haven’t decided yet.

There are always going to be people who cannot perceive their own worth without denigrating the worth of others.
Sad, but true, and all the rest of us can really do is try to be decent human beings and hope for the best.

I don't handle insults well at all, and have been in many physical fights because of it. And, unfortunately, I absolutely will hurl them in person - probably even more quickly:-(

I'm not proud of that.

Edit: White Trash down there is LUCKY he's looking out for you, lol!

Of course not!
Everyone knows that if anyone that did that kind of stuff here tried it in real life, they would eventually come across someone who would kick their @$$!
