Motivating advice, anyone?
I can't seem to take my own advice sometimes, so I'm asking for yours.

If you don't ask him out, isn't the result the same as being turned down? Either way, you are alone, so what are you afraid of? If you never ask, you will always wonder "what if?"
Besides, you are a good person, aren't you? Don't you make a good and loyal friend? If he refuses to go out with you, then he misses out on the opportunity to get to know & date someone as wonderful as you. It is his loss, not yours, if he does not like you. Besides, if he says no, then look at it as if he has done you a favor by saying you some time, because now you are free to ask someone else.
Why does it matter if this person says no or not anyway? The opinion of just one person does not determine who or what you are. You decide that for yourself.
I doubt that he will do or say anything to embarrass you either way if you ask. Most guys are flattered by a girl asking him out, even if he does not like you. I am sure that he will be kind.

Life is too short...take the chance and ask.. if you don't, you will never know..and maybe you will miss out on dating a great person.. Say, you have a free pass/ticket to a comedy club or a sporting event.. and ask the person if they are interested in joining you...making it sound casual....so if they say no..no biggie.. at least then you know.. rejection is part of life..we all have done it to someone.. so - GO FOR IT!

DO IT, even if it doesn't work think of the confidence you'll gain having done that. Think of something to talk about befre hand and how to bring it up before though just incase you get nervous like I did and stammer a bit. I asked a guy out once, I was so so nervous I shook but after it was over I was so proud of myself even though I didn't get a date because he was gay haha who knew? At least I did it. So can you hold your head up high and he will be yours:)

As a guy, I've asked out many girls and gotten turned down many times, but trust me, getting turned down is a lot easier to handle than knowing that I never took that chance to ask out someone that could potentially turn into my future wife. Ask, I promise it will be better than not asking.
