My roomate rought home two kittens, and when I held them I was like.. oh, you smell really good... am I just a freak?

No, cats groom themselves a lot, and many times they have a 'kitty clean' scent because they have a chemical in their saliva that eliminates most odors. In the wild, this keeps the cat's prey from detecting their scent.

Lots of people like the way their pets smell, or a roomates for that matter. Kittys are very clean animals and they probably remind us of a comforting clean that we only get by taking hot showers. No you are not a freak!

I have two kittens almost going into one year old. Took until they were about 7-9 months old that after cleaning themsleves and cuddling there clean smells came out.

Did you know when they clean or lick you their saliva is like pure water and smells like it. Now I know how they stay so clean it's because of this.

Great question and gets a big rate from me.

I love puppy breath and my kids think I'm weird for that. Seriously, it's not weird at all that you like the kitten's smell.
