the reason I've heard is "because from lesser countries those women will kiss their feet". Some men like tiny women, some like different eyes, some are just in love with the mystique of their country or even with their way of speaking, or with their lesser knowledge of the states wherein the male gets to teach them everything, including insisting that that woman be dependent on them or they will send them home (holding that threat over their head). Sometimes the women are more convincing because they want out of their sad plight, and sometimes the men are in a weak situation and away from home and lonely, and some men feel good about helping people out of bad situations. Their marriages are no different than any others here, still they divorce.

Military men get treated well by women in other countries at times. Particularly Korea. Some men like an old fashhoned lady. American women may not have the wherewithal for the military lifestyle which has frequent relocation, limited pay and long deployments of the husbands overseas.

Because they are usually stationed in other countries, and this can make it difficult to develop a relationship that has any meaning. Let's face it, internet relatoinships can get quite dull after a while. People want something tangible, something real, someone they can touch!
So, they date people were they are stationed, and sometimes, as shocking as it seems, they fall in love and they get married!

Do you mean multiple wives or just a single wife and she happens to not be a US citizen? If its the later, this question reeks of racism.

You do realize military men aren't always in their own country, right? In fact they might actually spend several years in another country. And heaven forbid they actually get to know other people in another country! *GASP!*

Because when they spend time in another country they meet and fall in live with women they meet there. Do you feel that young men and woman should save themselves for a local prom queen when they may be spending years of thier lives in foreign postings.

I'm sure they don't seek out women from other countries. They probably just meet them and fall in love while serving in another country.

Beacuse they are stationed out of the country and meet women in the country they are stationed in. If you love her then marry her, it doesnt matter what country she is from.

My American ex wife decided to get pregnant with another guy's kid.
My German wife (current for 20 years) has been faithful and true.
I'm not saying that all women are like that, but mine was.
