The fact that I studied numerous religions both before and after my Salvation. (I STILL study religions). And the ONLY thing that transformed my life and gave me peace in my heart throughout the years, throughout the trials, heartaches, ups and downs of life, was the abiding, constant presence of the Holy Spirit; who is my constant companion and Guide. You really CAN know for sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt that Heaven will be your home after you draw your last breath here on Earth, once you decide to trust the Saviour with all your heart and soul. You'll be AMAZED at what He will do in your life!
xx

I think it has much to do with the History of it. Also as simple as being raised in it. If you look at Iraq and what the majority religion is and will be it is all based on History. Speaking of Quran they took this as the final book. Christians take the NT as the final book. All the hellish happenings in Europe pushing this religion left an ever lasting impression. If you compare those actions to Romans it is quite ironic.
I have a firm belief of diving deep and gaining my own beliefs. Much have been no different from texts already written. However we all must ask what do we believe and why do we believe it. Most of it comes down to answers. So much is relative with each other so something most be stated about this. All religions have mentions of end times, person or persons returning and final judgments.

When I was a Christian, it was because I had a strong belief in god and it seemed as if there were no other options... even though I knew in my heart that many of the things Christians believe are just plain wrong.
I also could not accept the notion of a masculine deity.
Then I realized that for true spiritual happiness, you must first figure out your beliefs and THEN seek out the religion that matches them best. That was how I found my true spiritual calling as a priestess of the Goddess.

Been there already. Left it behind when I was told that I could not do whatever I wanted and what was in my best interest. Forget religion.
