What is the noble cause that Casey Sheehan died in Iraq for?

I don't mind you asking this question..going into Iraq will go down in history as the dumbest, least thought out, foreign policy ever. That is not to say that people like me don't support these troops wherever they are. They didn't necessarily choose this war and my heart breaks for their parents I know so well.

Why should President Bush answer that? Isn't there a military office that should be researching that? Who knows what happened to Casey, but usually it's one of three things, the humvee he was riding in got bombed, he acted up and one of his buddies got him or he could have shot himself or maybe shot himself as his gun went off, or in some celebration people who shot into the air well the bullet came down and got him.....it's no big secret.....things happen over there. Seems to me that every time someone is killed over there some verbiage is noted on the soldier's paperwork. Maybe Casey's mother just can't come to grips with the verbiage on his paperwork and insists there should be more. Maybe there isn't more.

As far as I can tell, the war in Iraq has been driven by Bush's need to inflate his ego as much as any other single thing.

I think we can all assume that all of the nations in the middle east are not looking at Iraq and saying 'I want that for my own nation.'
This is what Bush had hoped.

It seems that Bush and the neoconservatives are very good at winning straw man arguments.

What a pity that wars are not fought against straw men...

Just another word he heard since he don't know very many. There was not any noble cause for any of out troops to take arms against another country that had not harmed us in any way. Broke the 2nd Constitution by preemptive strike. I am so fed up with this bunch in the White House that I just wish they would be impeached immediately ,if not sooner.

He was fighting terrorists on foreign soil.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather fight (or in your case allow someone else to fight) terrorists on foreign soil rather than here, in my front yard. I'd prefer to kill terrorists in Iraq rather than in Houston, Texas.
