My thinly veiled question "Why is there no mention of the word 'Religion' in the Bible?" attracted varied answers, the result being not unexpected. Part of the point of this debate was to allow the community to choose the answer. That result is interesting. Check it out.

People vote their concience. Apparently everyone who voted thought that was the best response, what can I say. I guess all 5 of those voters thought you deserved the insult - sorry.

Peace!

I dont know, especially since "religion" is mentioned SEVERAL times in the Bible.

Acts 25:19 Instead, they had some points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a dead man named Jesus who Paul claimed was alive.

1 Tim 5:4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.

But more than likely, those against religion like questions that appear to also be against religion so they vote it.

i had a theory on this so I tested it I wrote approximnately 20 responses over 24 hrs aand waited to see how many went to voting out of these 20 13 went to voting for each that went to voting I voted once for myself and then used one other id to vote for myself again out of these 13 Questions I was awarded 8 Best Answers

This proves :
1.I'm a smart ****
2.Yahoo needs to put a lot more work into how best answers can be choosen &
3.By rigging as little as 2 votes in R& S forum it is possible to be awarded best answer

looks like more people need to start voting or askers shouldn't be letting the community decide

It was not the religious Community per se that voted for best answer. Sometimes the person who answered the question waited until the question was in voting and then they probably voted for their own answer!
Btw the word religion is mentioned in the new testament in a few places!

You can choose best answer yourself and get 3 points to boot. Answerer #1 was pretty good.

Because your question was kind of pointless and obvious, by the way, the answer is in the Bible. "For by grace we are saved through faith, it is the gift of God, and not of works lest any man should boast." Religion cannot save you; Jesus can.

I try not to consider it "a vote FOR the most insulting answer" but rather as "a vote AGAINST my stupid question."

How is it that you know the religios affiliation or not of each person on this site? Your statement is absurd.
