Well u should do what you think is best, it is hard 2 say, sometimes the opportunity may never come again if he is the right guy( but thats up 2 u to decide), get 2 know him more and talk 2 your friends about how u are feelin or if they dont understand how u r feelin theres your parents to talk 2.

I say go out with him, I would give you the cliche but you asked for more than that. If you really like the guy then do it, don't care about what your friends think. Just take the being made fun of in stride and enjoy going out with him.
