I don't understand why God should be feared - never have. I think it's a silly label and I am most surprised that it is usually used by religious people who think of themselves are God fearing. I thought they were God loving.
If you are going to follow a god, I say make him a loving and accepting one. If you are going to fear even God, then you are wasting your time here on Earth - I think. I have nothing again religious people - I just don't understand the label.
Peace!

No I love Christians and everyone else too. When we refer to God Fearing it isn't a literal thing. We are not scared of our Father, he is all loving and all forgiving. It means when you sit back and realise just how awesome and powerful GOD is it fills you with awe. Thats what they mean by God fearing. I Pray blessings on you all and hope you'll come to realise the truth of the word before it is too late.
May Jesus be with you and heal you who are in pain. All you have to do is to ask with your heart for his help to reveal your sins and repent. Let the healing begin...xx

the word Fear doesnt mean we're scared of God, it means we hold Him in a high position respect Him and love Him. He does not threaten us with damnation into hell, he gives us a way out of that. what is the point in hating Godly ppl, sure we have dif. opinions but we can still have fun n we are normal people. so u just go chew ur own fruit.

I don't hate them, but I feel sad for them, that they would choose a faith based on fear.
All Christians are living a fear-based faith. No matter how much you profess to love Christ and honor your creator, there is always that whole hell and damnation thing holding over your head. Really - why would a deity try to inspire love and devotion by threatening his or her followers?
Even I know better, and I am hardly a deity.

They are themselves afraid because of their upbringing with parents & the church... Both of whitch were horrid teachers back in my mothers day.. Fear was FEAR and that was that..In other words, God did not have a sense of humor....He was a very ...mad god....I don't respect that at all.
