Why do men feel like they have a right to make comments or answer questions about pregnancy or female reproductive problems when they have no clue? (I'm *not* including doctors in this question.)

I'm asking this because I was reading a question from a woman with endometriosis and there were guys answering her who *clearly* had no idea what endometriosis even was. Plus I've seen other questions from women about pregnancy and such that were also answered by men, but how could they answer when they have no idea? I, as a woman, wouldn't even try to answer questions that are male-centered, like stuff about premature ejaculation and such. So why do men do that with female issues?

Again, to repeat, in case anyone didn't pay attention before, I am NOT including male doctors in this question.

I love it! I ask a question and suddenly I'm narrow, arrogant, and sexist!

I'm sorry, but even if a guy has a wife or female friends, it doesn't mean you know what it's like. I have a husband and a son, but I wouldn't claim to know about male stuff.

And I'm aware that women do the same thing for male questions. I'm about to address that. But this is the question here.

So, bring the insults on!

You wouldn't...but there are plenty of women out there (who are NOT female doctors) who think that they ARE experts on such things as male anatomy and the male sex drive. Just ask a question about premature ejaculation and then see how many women answer compared to how many men answer.

I mainly do it for the two points.

Maybe some men are familiar with certain health issues through their wives or partners having had those issues?

I'm male, but I don't know everything about the male reproductive system. For example, prostrate cancer is a male issue, but I know very little about it. A woman whose husband has had it might be able to say a lot more.

Men know as much as Female know about their bodies. You should get used to accepting advice from male and Female. I don't care who answers my question female or male. I think you've got some issues going on. I can't help you with that cause I'm man. Sorry

If we only allow one group of people to answer questions on a certain subject, their ideas would get inbred.
The computer industry was inbred in an IBM way of thinking in the 1970's when a college drop out by the name of Bill Gates turned it upside down.
You are too much of an intellectual coward to even allow the thought that men could contribute to your universe an an outside observer.
What happened to you to make yourself so hateful of men and what they can contribute to your life?

we as men like to solve things. and if the answer sounds good to fix the problem we will use it. of course this is a generalization. just like the generalization of "why do women get on yahoo answers and ask questions about pregnancy? i mean if they are pregnant shouldn't they ask their doctors? or if anything go to WebMD.com for answers from actual doctors?" oh wait this is all in good fun.

I'a a man and sometimes I answered women problems because I have women friends and sometimes they share their problems with me (at least shared problems with their girlfriends and I just happened to be there). So I know some female problems and I like to share it in here. It may not be the correct answer, but I'd like to help with experiences that I have.
And sometimes we accompanied our female friends who have problem to consult with the experts, so we heard the opinion straight from the experts too.
If you want real help, consult with the experts and don't ask on Yahoo! Answer.

They could know about pregnancy and have info to offer. Some guys are husbands/dads/students that happen to know things about the female body that they've learned or heard from their wives...

Some men not DOCTORS research on different things and are knowledgable about women. So I think men can answer those types of questions. Not all men are clueless!!!

I'm not French but I speak it. What an arrogant opinion you have. You know nothing of "male" issues? Then you must know nothing of any race but your own. You know only the religion you practice and no other. Get real. You must be pretty narrow and boring.
