My gf recently left me for a olympic longjumper!! My confidence is shattered. I am 19 years old. I'm 5ft 11,suttly spiked brown hair with big brown eyes. I "apparantly" have a nice smile. Im medium built and due to my line of work (fitness trainer) have quite a toned build. I have two tattoos. (not gruesome). Most say i am a very good looking bloke. I do have a slight temper but i would never do anything like strike a girl! I truly can't understand why she left. Im heartbroken. Shes given me no answers. Am i complete idiot for caring?

I'm so sorry you are heartbroken. You aren't alone if that is any comfort. I just got dumped. He did tell me why but did it in a bad way. You sound like a great catch. I wouldn't worry about your looks so much. I might see a guy who is good looking and after I get to know him, he isn't so good looking anymore. The opposite holds true also. You definately aren't an idiot. You should be proud that you are a caring guy. Don't let one bad girl ruin it for the rest of us. Good luck.

She probably simply fell in love with this other guy which she couldn't help. Maybe she is not the faithful type - she just like to have fun while she is young. Maybe she was worried about your temper and thought she should move on. Maybe the fact that he was an olympic longjumper interested her (success is attractive)
You can call her up to wish her happy new year and wish her well with her new boyfriend and while at the conversation ask why she left you, if you have to ask.
It's normal that you would be hearbroken and that you would care. Personally I would move on, if she was meant for you,you will be toghether at some stage. Right now you should concentrate on a career or studies, your family and friends.

girls sometimes..in this age are more serious with their
sports,school,and family..
i mean .. did she jst left w/o telling you why??
because if thats the case then she just prolly have problems and dont wwant you to get involve..or maybe she wasn serious with you and just want to be single..
i dont know really..you didnt give me more info bout he..
it was only yourself..
maybe thats why she left..because you would only think the reason is you and not her..
maybe thisrelationship was just about you....

but i hope that you call her and talk to her and try to talk about her..her problem ..why she left you.

well apparently you are to good for her...if there is anybody that should be wondering why you guys split it should be her.you sound like a good guy like a guy I'm very close to so i have sympathy i hope you don't let it ruin you because that would truly be a thing to be sad about.

Get over her and move on. She saw something she wanted and went after it, you do the same. Your young and have plenty of years ahead to fall in love. She was just one of many girls out there.
