Had scans, x-rays and ump-teen blood tests, gall stones not found but slight fatty infultratation of the liver detected, but nothing a bit of weight loss won't cure. Been to nhs pain clinic and they couldn't suggest anything. It's been going on for roughly 7 years....any ideas?

Ask your doctor for a liver function test. It'll show up any damage immediately. I've had liver damage and it can be very painful in the area you described. If this is the case, you might need to review your lifestyle/diet/medications etc. but the best person to guide you through this is a good doctor.

If your doctor isn't paying attention, find a new one, because pain was invented to show your body something is wrong, and you deserve to get to the bottom of it!

I think you should have some more test done and look for a doctor that can help you to explain what is going on and what you can do about it. If they found something wrong with your liver, it could be something else that is going on with the liver that is being overlooked. Or it could be something else going on around the liver. Keep searching.
