few weeks before i graduated from college which i just did, i met a girl. one time, late at night, when we were both studying, she said she was starving so i wanted to feed her, but it was 2am so no place was open so i told her to come back to my room. i was REALLY busy at that time with papers and working a full time job so my room was really messy, even though i had cleaned it a week before. there was newspaper on the floor because i am a painter. that was the only time she saw my room. we are still friends and both kinda like each other but i still can't get over the way my room was the only time she saw it and i graduated so i won't have another chance. i feel like a bum. why do i keep dwelling on this??

Well, if that's the biggest problem you have with your girl, you have a better relationship than most. Just clean the room and move on.

Awww........how many guys would feel like a bum for leaving the room messy??? Good you have a good sense of hygiene.... You're only dwelling on it because you like her and you don't want her to have a bad impression on you. Did she make any comments on it? Well if she didn't, then as you said you are still friends (I hope you live in the same area), invite her to your house for tea or something and show off your clean room! Besides....if you're friends, by now she should have known that you are a painter.....I'm sure she had forgiven you for that mess a long time ago!! Don't worry too much about it.....

Im no expert, but in my opinion the main feeling that you most probably experienced when this happened was embarresment.

After reading your question it actually made me think for a second...

"embarresment" is probably one of the hardest emotional feelings to get over, especially when it involves someone who you like, love, are a good friend with or any one that you would preferably try to impress.

I can remember quite a few embarresing moments that I have experienced throughout life and when I think of them, some will even make me kinda shudder at the thought. The emotions come running back and almost feel the same (as they did when it happened) as opposed to say a sad memory, which of course will usually still make you feel sad, but the sadness isnt quite as strong.

At the end of the day it's all good, you are still mates, she probably didnt even notice.

Probly because you thought you messed up on a chance to be with the girl you like (so you say).If she likes you the same way then she wont care about how your room looks, SHE'LL CARE ABOUT WHAT'S INSIDE.

You need to talk to her.
You can not let it slip by.
Good Luck
