My living room is pretty plain any ideas on the things i can add to make it look nicer?

this is what my living room sofas look like i only have 2 of them and the coffe table.

some paint on the walls to bring color into the room/space...some plants..sofa throw blankets..colored pillows

I think that you can do a lot with what you have. Why not boy some gorgeous pillows in bright colors? You could paint your walls, wallpaper, use borders, or even dec. molding to spice up any room. Orchids, plants, etc also add a nice decorating touch.
Some nice ceramic pieces for the coffee table would look nice like some colorful decorative vases. Why not try Pier One. They have everything and they are not really expensive. Good luck.

Watch a few daytime soaps or evening shows. I don't always pay attention to the dialog but I do look at the beautiful homes. There are many color combinations and room decorations that you may want to use in real life. You can also go to a furniture store and see what items and colors they have put around their sofas and chairs that match your sofa colors.

There is nothing like a shot of color to brighten up a blah room. You can just paint one wall a really juicey color... or a rich chocolate brown! It would look great with your furniture. Paint is the least expensive way to dramatically change a room.Try something bold! Have fun! Wish I could come and help. I love painting.

If you cannot afford to buy anything, you can always hang up a bright throw blanket. Put a plant in a corner. Go to the local goodwill or thrift store and look for some pillows or sew some pillow cases and stuff them and put them on the couch.

Jump on ebay and go to wonderful posters store and buy some old Grand Prix or Alcohol posters like Campari or Lemonata type frames. Go to IKEA and buy some cheap frames to hang them in. Go to an old trash market and pick up some italian looking antquies and fresh flowers. Go for the italian country look. Good luck
