I nearly lost my hair! I wanted them gorgeous: long and blond. They were to heavy and to long. My own hair is not thick really so I wanted to thicken them and make them nearly to my waist. What a mistake! After two weeks my hair started falling out (together with the expensive extensions). My hairdresser said that it was my request to put this long hair so it was nothing to do with him. Don't do it. I was nearly bold for few months. Even after removing them my hair was so weak it kept falling out.

They don't ruin your hair, but if they are very long and heavy, and you have them in for a long time, they can cause some traction damage. This is when the weight of hair pulls too much at the roots and causes thinning. This won't happen unless you have them in for months and months, though.

well, i got extensions too, but usually is not good for your hair because they use the fusion tool wich might burn ur hair and cause your hair to grow out unhealthy....when i did mine the best way to do is clip-in extensions

My wife had them done with no problems. Her hair has grown now and she is gradually reducing them.
