I ask this because I always thought a shy guy would be kind hearted, but I've seen a shy guy who was a real bastard to his girlfriend. I'm just wondering what people think from their past experiences.

I'm also curious because I met someone who was nice as well as very shy. He wanted me to know he was a nice person. My friends all believe that he's probably kind hearted, but I'm not so sure. I have a tendency of seeing people as better than they are. I'm afraid of getting my heart seriously broken.

He stares all the time and never stops. He will never come and speak to me. Sometimes he looks away and sometimes he just won't stop staring, especially when I'm not looking.

Perhaps that shy guy didn't understand fully what he was getting into when he got in his relationship. Or maybe he doesn't realize what it takes to be a good man to his girlfriend.

I would think more shy guys like myself than not are generally good people. But then again, you know what they say about us quiet guys............

Seriously though, don't let that other guy be discouraging to what you're trying to do.........

Actually sometimes the nice guy/shy guy thing is just a less agressive act to get a girls attention.
Kind of like the guy that act like badasses or a "playa" all the time to get women. Guys who cannot pull off that kind of agressivness, try to go for the "I'm shy and loveable" act. It's kinda a lazy approach where they usually wait for rebounds, or wait for girls to approach them because they seem sweet.
It's not always an act though... it just depends on the person.
Either way, be careful~~ we can be crafty.

Some people are shy but sly!

It depends on the person really... but yes it is very possible for a person who has a shy personality to do bad things or to generally have other negative aspects of their personality.

Just goes to show, you can't judge a book by it's cover... Sometimes you gotta watch out for the quiet ones!

Shy often means a lack of confidence. This often translates to feelings of inadequacy that can often result in negative behavior towards a partner. I am always suspicious about the overly shy. Just be careful, like with anyone else.

No it doesnt advise this in any respect. With shy human beings they are very gentle and careful. Im distinctly confident he has an surprising character even yet it somewhat is going to take sometime to get it out of him. only wait and notice and allow him experience gentle sufficient around u to snort and make some errors and you 2 would be very lots allright:) . i used to be shy around ladies so i understand the sensation, yet im no longer shy anymore lol.

Sweetie, that's like saying that all outgoing people are jerks.
(I've never met a stranger, and I'm a nice person. Really! )
I think you are confusing shyness with being the opposite of mouthy. No one likes a mouthy person, but shyness doesn't necessarily indicate goodness. It just might be more difficult to tell initially.

I'm shy and I dont think I'm a bastard, I guess being shy doesn't change the way you act.

Shy simply means he's timid and not comfortable around those he doesn't know well...has nothing to do with being a kewl person or a complete jerk...just if he's a jerk, he'll tend to be a fairly quiet one (compared to an extroverted jerk)...

No, not true at all... that's like saying all out-going people are mean...
