Whatever makes you comfortable. Prayers that you come up with yourself are more personal, yet established prayers, like the Lord's Prayer (aka, The Our Father), if said with meaning and thought, is just as good.

Prayer is simply your talking to God. It can be done just like if you were having a conversation with your friend. Something like "Hey, how are ya?" is even appropriate.

In addition, most believe you should pray to God through Jesus or the Blessed Mother, Mary. However you do it, though, as long as you show reverence, will help establish a lasting relationship with God and help you through many tough times.

Don't be afraid to pray at any time of the day, either. If you are in school, for example, and are going to have a difficult test, say a quick prayer in your head, asking God to be with you and watch over you as you take the test.

To answer your last question, I'm a Roman Catholic.

I'm an earthbound Christian, I usually pray at night, in the quiet of my bedroom, sitting cross-legg on the bed. I'm always undressed (I sleep naked and it's just before getting under the covers) and I make up my own prayers of course - afer all God wants to hear from ME not just hear me recite some prayer I memorized. that would be meaningless. And sometimes I pray like that out in the woods behind the hosue. Feels very close to God taht way!

Simple meditation which you may call prayer and the substance is 'well being to all'.And the object is to keep tab on your negative emotions and foster positive attitude coupled with relaxation. After all prayers of selfish nature met nemesis if you look at the history.

I have a prayer book that helps me pray sometimes, it depends on what I'm praying about. I also make up my prayers if I need to.

I also pray the rosary, litanies, chaplets.
At times I just talk to God about what is on my mind. I know He knows what I am thinking or going through, but it is good just to acknowledge Him and let Him know personally about what is going on in my life.
Sometimes I talk to the saints if there is something that I know that they experienced in their lives that I am going through. It's kind of like sharing experiences, doubts, frustrations, joys,etc...

I also like to pray for the dead because many people forget about them and they have no one to pray for them. I say "Jesus, Mary, I love you, save souls".
I guess that by now you know I am Catholic.

I am of a Baptist denomination and I do make up my prayers. God is only concerned with your heart, not the fancy wording.

I attend a very loving Non-denominational church. My prayers are freeflowing from my soul. The words come from my heart and are about as unstructured/unplanned as possible. I don't know how it happens, it just does.

i attend the church of Christ, I'm a christian. You can talk to God about anything at all. He is concerned with all that you are concerned about. The words are not of importance, when we pray the Holy Spirit(and only the Holy Spirit) intercedes for us and speaks to God for us. This is what the bible tells us. When you pray ask in Jesus name..

I pray alone. I talk to God, so I talk to him as a friend. I give thanks, and I use his English name Jehovah. I always end my prayer, in Jesus name. I have no denomination. But I serve Jehovah only.

I find my self begging and asking only after marraige or the time between seeing a cop and then the lights go on, then praying that he'll go easy (or she) and sometimes 'god' answers prayer

praying for sex has to be illegal...but that seems to be what my sanctified marraige has become,

my Lover, who has the Holy Sanctuary
give me this day my daily loving
and forgive me for my sharp tounge
lavish upon me thy blessed body
and spare no effort to enjoy
let us lie together and be one
and then drift off into eternity and bliss

aye woman
