I personally wouldn't - don't want to kiss an ashtray. How about you?

I would never date a smoker or kiss a smoker. As a small child my parents smoked very heavily and we had to sit in the car with them on long trips. This was very suffocating. My wife does not smoke and neither do I. When my mother visits and she has to smoke she will go outside. No ome smokes in our house. I was never so glad as when there was a city wide and then a state law to prevent smoking indoors in Arkansas.

Not only is smoking bad for you, it makes you stink. People that smoke, stink.

Kiss an ashtray? Hun, you probably haven't even had your first kiss. Being a smoker myself, I'm always carrying gum around and brush my teeth at least 5 times a day. I'd say I got better breath than any guy you'll ever kiss, if you ever get lucky. And when did everyone around here become haters?

my wife said the same thing, i smoke i know yuk!! but she said that the moment that she saw me she knew i was the one she had been looking for, so dont be too judgemental tooo quickly, she was so against it and never dated a smoker her entire life, the whole ashtray thing, actually the three before her said the same thing, its not a statement that anyone can truly back up

Yes...I have and I would...and not one single one of them tasted like an ashtray...nor do I go about kissing ashtrays (why do you?)

I wouldn't allow them to smoke inside my house...but otherwise I wouldn't discount someone for that habit alone...

I swore my entire adult life that I would never date a smoker. And I never did. 16 years of non-smoking. Then one day I met the man of my dreams. Swept me off my feet from the moment I laid eyes on him. I knew he was the one. Only problem, he smoked. I restled with that fact but my heart won. It wasn't like he chain smoked or anything. He actually took conscious efforts to make sure his breath didn't smell like smoke... gum, brushing teeth, stuff like that. I nag him about it often and he likes to joke and tell people that I don't date smokers... I married him! And I don't regret it for a moment.

I would not date a smoker because I wouldn't be attracted to someone who smokes... it's very unattractive. But if the man I'm in love with takes up smoking, I won't leave him. I'll kick his ***, but love goes deeper than that.

There is a person behind the smoke - if you are worth it the smoker may quit just for you.

I would date a smoker but nothing more than that. If we started to get serious then I'd have to lay down an ultimatum.

well, it depends what they smoke and why...... and how often.... if its cigarettes, then hell no, cause those are smoked more often than others.... ussually.... if its like marijuana or something, they would have to have a damn good reason to, and they couldnt smoke it more than maybe twice a month for that reason..... and, i would do everything i could to try and get them to stop, and even if i had feelings for them, after a few months, if they didnt stop that, esspecially since its illegal and more dangerous in theory, i wouldnt date them..... i dont like smokers, and it dont help my asthma, but if its not so bad that you can get them to stop, im willing to offer people a chance
