Do airport screeners/metal detectors adversely affect digital cameras or memory sticks?

no. I travel every week and I run my electronics through the metal detectors without any issues.

Not sure about this one. But I have travelled with all my camera gear and never had any problem.

I guess there is a possibility that it might but you will probably have to be STANDING at the detectors for at least 4-5 hours a day everyday for over 2 years for it to have any adverse effect.

Just my opinion.
