Sometimes change is good. Things were stale at Yates. He has smart new crew chief so I an hoping for the best. My main concern is that Mikey lacks the resources and the experience to both drive and run a team/company. Hopefully, the rumors are true that Toyota is spending big bucks for these teams and will stop at nothing for them to be successful.
Here's to another Daytona 500 win for DJ and your Jarrett!

Personally, I think DJ looked tired of the whole deal last year. It seemed as though he was just going through the motions a lot of the time. It will be interesting to see if this big move to a new team and a Toyota will have the same effect on him that Bill Elliott's move to Everham had on him.
I don't forsee middle of the road for this situation, it's either hero or zero. DJ's attitude will be the deciding factor. If this team gets off to a slow start (which isn't unlikely as a start-up team), it could be a long year. This whole Toyota thing is a real wildcard right now though.

Depends on where Toyota is in the learning curve. Could be a great season if they learn quick and can give him great equipment. The other factor being, how badly does Dale want it? I am guessing "he could" be a top 15 car. Win a race? Probably not. I hope he does surprise me though.

I hate to say it, Dale Jarrett will probably continue to be a so-so driver and likely finish 20-something in points from now on.

Jarret has the old man disease, when drivers lose their nerve to win races. ie- Labonte brothers, Ricky Rudd, Rusty Wallace, Mark Martin, Darrel Waltrip and all the other drivers over 40.

I agree with the guy above. He has an awesome new crew chief (Matt Borland). I'm not sure if he'll make the top ten, but he could suprise us!

Yep!! Bang right into the wall.
His career is going downhill and I don't see him returning to the top ten before the end of his career.

I think he will have a pretty good year just depending on how Toyota has figured things out

I think he'll wish he was back in the 88 every time Ricky Rudd goes by him. :)
Rick got the best of that swap!
