im underweight. i used to weigh 73 pounds but am now 98 pounds. it took me two years to get to this weight and he said i still gotta follow the meal plan he gave me. It's kinda embarrassing though cause its alot of food. breakfast is cereal, milk, PB toast, and fruit. Lunch is a sandwich, starch such as pretzels, and fruit. Dinner is a meat such as chicken, starch such as rice, and vegetables. I also gotta eat frozen yogurt for a snack in the evening, than fruit such as an apple, than oatmeal at night with a little milk. Is this alot of food, cause most people don't eat that much. if i try not to though i lose weight, but its kinda difficult to follow the meal plan cause i'm constantly eating. Help! I am sixteen and am 5 foot 2.5

It's not alot of food. Most people who train, diet seriously or body build eat 6-7 times a day. Of course these are small courses just like what you are eating. Its actually a better way to diet and maintain your body weight than eating the standard 3-meals a day that most people are familiar with. Eating food with starch, protein and fiber will help alot if you stick to your doctor's plan. You're lucky, alot of people don't get the help that you're getting from your doctor.

Well, if this is really true, I have to ask you who raised you and how were you raised. This is a very average, healthy meal plan. Some people eat a stack of pancakes, 3 eggs, sausage and bacon, milk, juice and coffee with cream and sugar for breakfast alone, or eggs, a huge steak and potatoes for breakfast. My six year old grandson is tall for high age, but already weighs 65 pounds and if far from fat. Most people eat 3 meals a day, with a snack or coffee break in the morning and afternoon and then a little something after dinner. You don't mention desserts like cake, pies, brownies. If you don't eat, you won't survive or be able to have a family or live a long life. Eating should not be the primary thing you do with your life, but it certainly is essential for life and health. Do what the nutritionist says.

Why do you feel that it's embarrassing to eat nutritious food?Don't you want to get your period back on track?I really think that you shouldn't be worried about what other people think and how much other people eat. That's why you are seeing a nutritionist, right? You need to take good care of yourself.Good luck.

It sounds like a really healthy diet. Your nutritionist knows what he is doing. Most girls(women) won't start their period until they are above 100 pounds. I agree that adding a few nuts in might help.

I had the same problem. My doctor made me eat a cup of walnuts and almost (salty nuts) and sugary juice and fruit every night. I gained weight nicely!

TRY IT!
