I was walking home from school in 9th grade and a kid who is my size in 7th grade threw a rock at my head and hit me from 70 feet away, dazing me a bit. But I kept on moving home. I found out that he wanted to fight me. When I was 7 this kid was in a crowd of kids who surrounded me to get me to "fight" this 50 lb gorilla from the next road over. I weighed 30 lbs. He swung first and I ducked just like I had seen on Sparky and the Gang. So I swung and hit him in the nose and blood flew everywhere. I thought I had killed him and ran to my mother and he and the other kids ran to the next street. Anyway the 7th grader went home and I went home and told my dad about it. He told me that I should just fight the kid. I did not want to and convinced my dad to go over and talk to his dad to get this ended. My dad did and the kid never bothered me again. My reasoning was that if I won that fight, someone else would want one...Wyatt Earp thing.

Yes, I would definitely get involved. Rocks in the head could cause possible serious damage, blindness, perhaps even death. Any little piece of crap that goes after my child would be dealt with...and going to the parent is a first step. I would have no problem scaring the little bugger personally too. Your Dad did the right thing.

Hahahahahahahaha! OMG! A 7yr. old weighing 30 pounds. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. My 3yr. old weighs 36 pounds and looks of average size. My 6 yr. old weighs in the upper 40s and is very skinny. If he only weighed 30 pounds he'd friggin blow away with the slightest breeze or social services would come and take him for being malnourished. There is no way you were only 30 pounds at that age.

Your story is so full of other holes. But I'm not gonna waste my time going through it just like I'm not gonna waste my time answering your question.

As a parent, I say your Dad did the right thing, that kid was a bully picking on you. I hope you learned a lesson and never did that to a kid and that other Dad saved his kid from being a bully if he didn't do it again.

First off, a 7 year old does not weigh 30lbs. My son is 5 and 40lbs and VERY skinny.

anyway.. if someone is trying to fight you on your walk come from school and your parents aren't doing anything about it- tell your teacher, tell your principal- they HAVE to take care of it.

Your father was wrong- its NOT ok to fight.

Not only should your dad have talked to the parent but he should have helped you file a police report. You were assulted and that is a crime.
