Hi there...consider ringing your local animal shelter/control to see if they know of a feral cat coalition in your region to help. These organizations will trap, spay/neuter and vaccinate the cats before releasing them back where they were captureed. So long as someone such as yourself is willing to feed the cat these organizations can provide assistance.

I hate to write this, but I think you are an enabler. I love cats and kittens and I was a Vet Tech for 19 years. You just need to realize that there are more kittens than anyone could possibly take care of. Yes, spay and neutering is the way to go. I think most counties in this country have a spay and neutering program that is available to you. You need to check out the resources in your town, you can't take care of all of them. If you have ever heard the expression "Cat Lady" it applies to women, mostly, that try and save all the kittens and cats as possible and in the end the cats and kittens are neglected because one person is unable to take care of all of the cats. If you really want to help, volunteer at a shelter or a cat rescue group. You will learn alot and you will get the answers you are looking for.

Look on your local city website; most offer some sort of feral cat program for spaying and neutering.
If I was looking to find a cheap vet I'd call the local Petsmart and ask them for the ph# of the local pet adoption people they work with.......most non-profit groups like that have deals w/ vets. If you can get in w/ them they can probably help you with getting them medical attn.
I live in LA County......I've heard people call local radio stations before and state similar probs and ask for anyone willing to help to call in.........maybe you'll get lucky and a kindhearted vet will volunteer their services (& lap up the free publicity it will create for their practice).
My final suggestion is this.....if you cannot afford to care for these creatures look for a local shelter that has a no kill policy & take them there. You could always bring them in & then only pay the adoption fee (they'd give them all the extra med attn at no charge).
Good Luck!

You can check with your local shelter. There are also groups that help feral cats by getting them spayed and then releasing them. There are also clinics that perform services at discount prices. In my area they are called spay/neuter clinics or affordable vet services. You could also contact your local chapter of the humane society for references. Maybe they have monetary assistance programs as well. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Some shelters offer free feral spaying/neutering. They also test for Felv/FIV and euthanize if positive..which is a really good thing.
Contact animal control...they should have answers for you about local help with feral cats. Also some veterinarians may know, and shelters/alternative shelters.
