Ginger has long been used to settle an upset stomach, and doctors always recommend that you drink plenty of fluids when you're sick and feverish. Ginger ale fills the bill on two counts. You might also like to try some candied ginger slices. They're much stronger, and I like them.

Right on! Ginger ale is the best and as I think has already been posted, it is the ginger. But ginger in its natural form is much better.
Also, if you are feeling nauseous, try stirring out the bubbles before you drink it. More carbonation in your stomach won't help settle it, so either ginger ale or coke, stirred (not shaken) is good for an upset stomach too!

Anything with ginger will make you feel better. It is the ginger itself! Ginger ale or eating ginger snaps will calm a belly and help with nausea, vomiting, motion sickness, etc.

Ginger and mint naturally settle an upset stomach. just like lemon and honey can naturally soothe a throat. Why- don't know that would be the chemistry of the plants. carbonation of the pop can help an upset stomach too.
