By two years of age, children should be making simple, two-word sentences like "Daddy go" or "doggy bye-bye" and have a vocabulary of at least fifty words.
often followed by a burst of talking around 2 1/2 to 3 years.

It all depends on the childs developmental stage. Some kids as early as 18 months and others as last as 2.5 or 3. The parents also have alot to do with there development if there involded in there childs learning they probably will sooner. Every child is different and every parent is different.

What do you consider a sentence?
Around 1.5 to 2 they should begin stringing several words together to make sentences. But these will lack proper sentence structure. That'll come later, around 2 to 2.5.

Depends on the kid, but anywhere from 18 months (for an early talker) to 2 years (pretty common by then). And first sentences consist of about two or three words, typically, like, "I want that," or "I thirsty."

legend has it that my father never spoke a word till he was 5 yrs old. Then later he graduated at the top of his class.
my sons never started talking till they were 2, but were talking like adults by 3. so, I guess sometime between 3 and 6!! Oh, i am twin and never spoke so that people other than my twin could understand till i was 10 or 11 (him too)

every kid is different allot has to do with his surroundings..for example a nephew of mine started talking way late when they asked the doctor he said it may because the boy had 5 older sisters and they took care of everything for him and if you asked him something one of the girls would almost always answer before he could get any words out....so many causes different age's be patient they say read to them and let them listen to the radio helps them in the long run...good question by the way..
