If you dated a guy that you hardly even knew at all and had such an awesome time talking to each other?

and finally he asked you out and then all of a sudden (in a week) says that he doesn't want to date anymore. Does that mean that you moved too fast into dating each other? If so, would that person ever ask you out again if he decided to just be friends for now? He really never said that we moved too fast, a few days later on the phone he said that he thinks he likes someone else. Before that, we were laughing and having an awesome time and then a day afterwards said that we cant see each other anymore. I dont understand this at all. Why wouldn't you want to be with someone that makes you happy?

I get this fairly often. They're dating someone and not committed yet, and so they go on a date with someone new (like you) to confirm whether or not they're making a good commitment. I ask my dates if they've been dating much. Ask about the people they're dating. Most people don't want to ruin their chances with you by being truthful that they're about to commit to someone else.

Maybe that other person makes him happier. Face it - you don't really know what goes on inside your date's head; you may be reading more into everything that happens between you than he does. It's possible that it is a usual thing for him to go out with a girl, have a good time, laugh and joke - and then decide he doesn't really like her that much, after all. Maybe the very act of being on the date makes him happy and causes him to have fun - not necessarily whom he's with. Everything's possible. Just move on, and look for new opportunities; it's the best you can really do. Good luck.

it seems like he has no idea what he wants. and YEAH, u kinda moved into this thing too fast, and expected too much.
