(UK) Don't know what the 12 step programme is.I hit the bottle for years because of all the usual sob stories, but after my Doc "demanded" that I have another 37yrs with my new children, I couldn't dis-obey really and to be honest it wasn't that hard, I just stopped!!! and the ciggies stopped too... still have the odd drink, but well within the government guidelines. suppose it's all down to the individual,Got a feeling my health has been well and truly damaged due to my stupidity, but I am trying. Bloody good luck to you x

I don't know what the twelve steps are, but i gave up drinking 3 years ago this month, after 32 years of serious drinking and i find it is up to the individuals will power, if they want to stop drinking or not ! you will feel a much better person for doing so and you will find people will respect you more.Try it and find out. (there is no shame in going out & drinking soft drinks.)

i think of it does yet greater so academically - like the study of mythology. very few human beings stick to the classic deities of Sumer yet that hasn't stopped some individuals from getting to understand approximately them. The vein of analyze is distinctive however - it somewhat is myth and not energetic faith. while a majority seem on the deity/deities as something from a bygone era (there are continuously some who nonetheless are adherents), while faith isn't given to it through people, then it culturally for the main section strikes into the realm of myth.
