In1928 an american guy name Walter Diemer (23 yrs old ) was working,maybe doing an experiment when suddenly by accident he came up with something with bubbles. It was from their on that he started to try new gum recipes, ( because chewing gum was already invented), in his spare time when he should have been working as an accountant for the chewing gum factory in Philadelphia. But his invention was magnificent, it was less sticky than chewing gum and it streached more easily too. He took it to a grocery store, where it was finished in a single afternoon. Soon his stuff was marketed and it was also pink gum because ther was only pink food colouring in the factory.

This one New York guy wanted to make rubber. He got some chicle from a tree(basically tree sap), and tried to make rubber. Instead, he found out that it was impossible, so he simply gave up. He saw a girl at the store buying chewing wax, so he decided to make a long lasting and delicious chewing wax. It was known as bubble gum later on.
