Martial Arts
You get regular exercise (VERY relaxing).
You learn how to deal with violence (NOT just Jackie Chan stuff, but awareness/avoidance techniques, too).
You learn how to deal with anxiety (at least the more traditional Arts do, I really don't have any experience with the non-traditional ones ...).
Meditation (Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist: they're all really pretty good for dealing with fear and anxiety AND for finding a deeper purpose in life).
I hope this helps.
Peace.

it's hard, but you have got to take risks. im not saying do insane things like jump off a building, but everyday, try to do one thing that you're afraid of. This will make it easier as you go to do more difficult things, and eventually "fearlessness" will come. Though you will probably never eliminate all fears, because they are part of life. It's how you deal with them that matters. Even the most fearless person began with fear and pushed through it to get what they wanted.

having fear of the unknown is healthy,it makes you be cautious and better able to cope..so I 'm not sure being truly fearless is a good thing.but if you are talking about debilitating fear..I agree with the others .take control of your fear.

I agree with the above post about Martial Arts. I was very shy, and at age 21 started practicing Aikido. I practiced for 16 years, but even after the first few months, I can say that it did wonders for my self-confidence. The self-confidence does not come from "being able to kick-***", it comes from learning your own abilities, and realizing that "I CAN do it!"

People may say "face your fears" but that's a half answer. Fear cannot be in the same place you are...
You're constantly running..... if you stay inside the fear, don't run, and let it pass through you.... well then, it goes away.
