Id love some opinions.
My fiance and I were thinking of having our wedding in Europe, but getting everyone over there might be very hard.
So we are looking for something different, not the typical church and banquet hall wedding.
We'd love to rent a big house somewhere with a lovely garden and have the ceremony in the garden and get a caterer to come and set up some tables and have a nice dinner.
We're also looking to stay in the US, but somewhere nice, since people will have to make a trip out of it.
In September, so hopefully still warm weather.
Any recommendations? know any beautiful spots or nice towns?
open to any ideas....

Ok depends on where you live but what about a beautiful bed and breakfast in your area that way it is easier for the guests. but you should honeymoon in europe and maybe even look into getting married over there just the two of you. Watch outdoor weddings in fall, allergies, weather, too many problems could pop up

I dunno where you live but.... I live on Cape Cod MAssachusetts and there are a lot of inns and bed and breakfasts here. A lot of them are right on the water too. Usually if it is after Labor day the rates are discounted. It is a beautiful time of year for a wedding here. Check out these sites...

Williamsburg Virginia has great places that you could have a beautiful fall wedding.

Yeah North Carolina has the Biltmore Estate is very beautiful.
