Of course, but that means that you're aiming for a mostly black audiance, so I'd advice you now if you haven't started making connections in black churchs to start doing so. I'm white and have been in black gospel choirs, and have attended their services, and in music they see no color- they're very receptive to everyone. But like every aspect of music, it's a group where knowledge and connections equal advancement. You'll want to know a lot of gospel and R&B Music, and you'll especially want to know and become friends with local church and community leaders- because these people are especially powerful and influencial in the black community and can really help you find some connections in moving to a professional career.

It's very possible to learn to sing well. You just need to know the right methods. Learn here https://biturl.im/aU0ul
Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.
Whether you sound like crap or you're decent, I recommend this singing course. It's one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It's all about using efficient techniques that work.

As long as you can sing well, then you can be a professional gospel singer, color has nothing to do with it. It's the sound that matters, you will be accepted by the masses, and it is so refreshing to hear a non-white sing gospel and sing it well!!
But if you just want to sing Praises to the Lord, do it anyway whether you can sing or not, make a joyful noise unto him!!!

To the LORD there is no black or white, just human. He loves it when anyone worships him, so anybody can sing to him, including YOU. So go ahead sing praises to him all day long and in public too, no matter what any body else says, and I assure you, you will have eternal life in him.
Besides, everytime I see a gospel choir, there's always white and black people in it.

Who told you Gospel music has a color? If you listen to the words you're singing you should realize there is no color, we're all just people.

I think that's wonderful that people are stepping past the racial boundaries.. No people will only laugh at you if you are ill prepared and not trained well enough. If it's in your heart sing it.. I've tried a lot of things but I'm stuck with opera.

It's perfectly fine! My cousins sing southern gospel and they perform in the summer tour with Ernie Hass & Signature Sound! It doesn't matter if you're black, white, or latino, just use the talents God gave you!

Elvis Presley sang Gospel, so why should your skin color keep you from singing it? The best singers do best when they put their heart into their singing. If for you, that's Gospel, go for it. Sing what you love, never mind what other people think.
And best of luck to you.
