I am trying to make a choice between BMW and mercedes, i dont know which one is better, i dont even know which i want to buy but both cars have alot of pros and cons, Bmw is the ultimate driving machine, it has probably the best looks a car could get, i havent seen a car that looks as good as M6 Bmw has done an amazing job with the m6 and m5 and other bmers, on the other hand Mercedes Benz has the Amg models which are powerfull, I think Mercedes is more powerfull company than Bmw but is this true, i am looking for answers from car experts or past owners of these two brands, truely which one of these two brand is worth to trust, which one will have less repairs, but is fast and catches everyones eye in the streets.

I ve owned a Mercedes 2007 CLK320 and in 2011 I replaced it with a 2010 BMW 328i Sport/Premium package.
Never had an issue with my Mercedes - simply had regular maintenance oil changes - not a single issue. BMW is a different story - have numerous issues with various sensors and electronics. Already, spent thousands on repairs. Also, BMW is cutting costs by not doing simple things like including a spare tire (although I have run on flat tires, so did my Mercedes by the way) and not having a front hood liner. It seems that Mercedes still has it s luxury and performance essence, while BMW is all about business and profits.
Selling my BMW right now and not buying another BMW any time soon.
BMW is a bit more fun to drive just because of it s stiffer suspension and sportier design.

It is a tough choice I been looking at the BMW 3 Rag Top and the Benz SLK Hardtop convertible both 2005
It a toss up... But my be leaning toward the Benz for driving all year round...being a hardtop convertible But don't thing you can go wrong with either one.... Maybe BMW for the young set and the Benz.for the older set....

Had a brand new Benz for a year and had to sell it because it was the most finnicky car I've ever had the misfortune of owning. Merc dealership also ended up always overcharging for simple things that should have been covered for me under my warranty. I couldn't even put air in my own tires without taking it in and having the mechanics turn off the sensors when my tires were perfectly inflated! I'd go for the BMW. Have had two perfect ones and the customer service is always top notch. Even bought one for my daughter! Hers has never had any problems either. And the dealerships always hook you up with top of the line loaner cars and have insane amenities. The service center in Austin, TX even has a complimentary movie theater, Starbucks, snack, and top of the line massage chairs for you while you wait. If you even have to wait very long! BMW all the way!!

I think both cars are perfect, but there are some features make them different. EX/ BMW is the best car for the young guys I think who are between 20 to 30. However, Benz is acceptable for a business man. Lastly, I prefer BMW than Benz.

I have had 3 BMWs and all but one has issues. A new 323ci one in 2000 was in the garage more than I drove it and a later 645Ci is basically done and would cost more to repair than it's worth. I had one mercedes CLK and it never gave any problems except needing a new battery. Have a 2015 C220 now. Still early days but I think I just have faith in it

I am on my second BMW X5. while I really like the drive and performance the navigation system is horrible. For speed and performance I say BMW, however I am buying a BMW ML350 for better technology. I feel both drive equally and are very similar in size. Both are really great cars. Good Luck!

Bmw and Mercedes are two completely different cars. Bmw is saloon car, its meant for great handling drifting etc... for places like windy roads, the track and just a everyday driving car. I must say Bmw's are a more reliable car than bmw, but just about all high performance vehicles will have more problems due to higher performance needs. Mercedes on the other hand makes beautiful looking and powerful cars. Mercedes is about handling, but they do like to show off their speeds. If you are looking for something fun to drive for 10 years. I would get a beemer. If you want to be in something to show off i would buy a benz.

BMW will last you longer.
MB looks luxurious, but my friends who drive BMW's say that don't want to go back to another make of car because of how BMW drives and how the car makes you feel.
