HE is in the wrong. I mean, your ex is DEAD......
You were a part of his life.
There is absolutely NOTHING WRONG with going to his funeral.
Your boyfriend needs to understand that.
Let him know how you feel.

Sweetie,

You are not wrong for wanting to give support to his family. Your ex would want you to be there to enjoy in the memories of his life. The question why do you feel that you did anything wrong, all you asked was for your b/f to come and support you in your time of need. What does he think you are going to do? The true question is does he feel as if you have stronger feelings for your ex then him. Girl you know that is all about a man and is pride. If I where you I would go to his funeral, and pay your lasted respects to your friend. And if your b/f really loves you he wouldn't make this all about him. Because the is what he is doing he is use to you paying him so attention and now he feels you are giving your attention else where. He is acting like a child. I hope it all works out and you can pay your lasted respects to your friend God rest is Soul.

No, HE is. He's behaving in a territorial manner with no justification. Does he think he's competing with a dead man or WHAT? Funerals are about closure and that's something he should not even question. He's having a really strange Guy Moment that he should set aside for your sake. He should stand to one side like a mensch and quietly support you through a hard event. If you've been together for a year and he feels threatened by a deceased ex, SOMEbody needs a Grow-Up pill and its not you.

yes and no.

you are wrong to love any boyfriend more than anything in the world. you save that kind of love for someone who has married you with the intent of spending the rest of his life with you. or someone who raises you from infancy to adulthood.

you are not wrong for wanting to go to the funeral if you separated as friends and his family still thinks highly of you.
would your boyfriend cause a scene at the funeral? if so, and you love him more than anything in the world you should not go as he is your constant escort.

you may be better off sending a sympathy card or if you think you can get away with it, flowers.

Not wrong at all to go and pay your respects to somebody that was once a part of your history

and that experience that you had with your ex, makes you a better person for the current bf

tell him you would want for him to pay his final respects to his former gfs if the same had happened to him

He has to be understanding. You are not wrong, after all you had relations with this guy. What could go wrong, you cheat on your boyfriend for a dead guy? A genuine relationship is built on trust and if he can't trust you with a dead guy, how much more a guy who is alive? Hopefully you two can talk and gain a trust between both of you.

Oh how so insecure. He is jealous of a dead man Please . Ask him if he would like to come with you to close that chapter of your life let him know you love and appreciate him and that this will mean a lot to you. If her really cares about you he will support you and understand.

no, you should go. It would be nice if you go. Just tell your bf you feel really sry for your ex's family. I'm sry to hear that happened. If you bf still gets pissed, then just go. It shouldnt rly matter who the person is...but they died and you knew them so it would be bast to go. Hope I helped..

~No sweetie u not wrong. I think your bf just feels jealous. He prob. thinks you still have feelings and that's why you wanna go. Just reassure him and tell him that he's the only one that you love and you feel like its the right thing to do if you go.Also, to make him feel better, invite him with you.~
