There is no way to get your hair this color withough stripping the color out. trust me- I just went from dark dark brown to platinum today : ) It is a long process that only a professional should do, you can really really damage it if you do it yourself. My whole process entailed using a color remover first, and then bleaching it twice...just to get to a yellowish color, and then it needed to be toned. You can't buy that process in a box-I can tell the difference in my hair from when I tried it myself (and I'm a stylist) and having someone else do it, because they can see what they are doing-we can't see all of our own head either so we tend to just slap it on, and that creates a lot of overlapping and breakage. oh yeah-my hair feels great!!!all because I had a professional do it
-don't try at home color removers either-woo I've had some experience with them when I was in beauty school and thought I knew it all- and my hair felt like cotton candy lol

Go to your local salon and ask to have your hair stripped. It doesn't bleach your hair, just strips it of the dyed color. Its bad for your hair, but not nearly as bad as bleaching. Be prepared for some expense though, it cost me nearly $80 to have it done.

no. my mother is a hairdresser. they do have to bleach your hair to get it to the blonde colour that you want. the only other way is to grow it out and keep cutting off the ends. go and get it done properly. there are always treatments for your hair.

If your hair is died black and you want to go aaall the way to blonde even bleaching doesn't work.
Well, it does work. But you'll have to bleach it several times.
There is no other way: do it in stages or wait it out.

Go to a professional and have them do it for you. They will give your hair a good conditioning after they strip and color it. Vidal Sassoon is good at doing just this. Try going to one of there schools they only charge around $30.00 or $ 40.00 to color hair.

Nope, not really. Blonde dye (any dye designed to lighten) contains bleach.
