Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

There are several different methods... The one I like the most is changing your portions and eating all day! I eat 5 small meals a day...sounds crazy but eating more frequently and limiting portion size increases your metabolism! I lot of time we get into trouble because a lot of thought it's wasteful to not eat all your food or we starve ourselves until we break and then binge eat! I have had the most success with the above method...

Start forcing yourself to consume more water through out the day. Drinking green tea can also help curb your appetite. Majority of overeating is due to people misdiagnosing the signals of thirst. You need to train your body to be hungry at the appropriate time (not late at night, etc). Begin by drinking a full glass of water when you are hungry then wait. If the hunger pains return, drink another glass then wait 30 minutes. The hunger pain should subside.

eat slooowly. It takes a while for the stomach to signal to the brain that you are full. If you eat slowly, you'll feel full before you have eaten way too much.
Eat more protein rather than carbohydrates and fat.
Eat smaller meals more often. The stomach shrinks, and you'll get in the habit of eating less.

When you feel like eating chew on a peice of gum, so you keep your mouth busy. Or if you really hate gum, you can allways pop a peppermint in your mouth, but gum is probabbly the best since it lasts longer. I eat constantly too, and thats what i do to stop myself, so it might work for you too=).

What works for me is to use a stronger mouthwash after each meal (not Listrine, I think it is a hydrogen peroxide based mouthwash - check directions on the container before using it to make sure it is alright for oral use). This removes the hunger buds from the tongue.

Snack on vegetables.

They are low calorie and low carb. Fill up on them. You won't want to eat too much after that. Also drink a LOT of water.

You can try this too.......before eating, drink a couple of glasses of water. Also, cut your portion sizes. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, it'll take a life style change. Best of luck to you.
