Yes, it is good. I use it a lot. Just don't download executable files and always scan everything for virii. Don't download anything that you shouldn't. I actually bought the pro version. (pro version does not have ad-ware) I love it. I edit videos for the myself and family and Friends and always need something in the line of audio. Not just music, but, sometimes sound effects, etc..
BTW, Limewire is just an interface for the Gnutella file sharing network, so, if you know anything about the internet, you don't need Limewire to access that service..

I think its awesome.
Diont download any .exe files for sure because they are self executing files and many times have hinden viruses.
Thing that have the file format .mp3 are generally ok. They are the only files that I download.
As far a the program itself make sure you turn it off when you are not using it. You will see the little Limewire logo in your system tray just right click and shut the program down when not in use. When Limewire is running all the time it may slow down your pc speed and make you more vulnerable as the gates to your computer would be always open.
Make sure you have a good anti-virus just to be sure. I use avast and its free and good. It will scan the file before it plays it and will send an alert so loud you cant miss it.

When using a P2P program such as Limewire, you are opening up your computer to anyone who has the knowledge of getting by you secretly. In only seconds you could get any number of malware on your computer without even downloading any files or media that you actually wanted.
With software like Limewire, you are making your computer extremely vulnerable to thousands of crackers who would love to mess with your PC for their own fun.
Also beware of credit card theft and identity fraud.
And, less importantly (because you rarely get caught) it is illegal to use programs like that and consequences are up to $120,000 in fines, 8 years in prison, and the artists of the media you are downloading can sue you.
I greatly advise you to not use any program like that.
Also, if you are using a computer that belongs to other people (such as parents if you are still a kid) then install Limewire is the last thing you want to do.

I know many people who have Limewire and they love it apparently they do not know that it is illegal ... the only way that you could not be charged by piracy is whatever you download you have a copy of it on a Cd or tape that you BOUGHT. So yeah I'm not sure if your that good at not getting caught .. ^_^

limewire is great and the only thing you should worry about is getting a virus but all programs run the risk of sending a virus to your computer

Limewire is full of spyware.
it is also slow compared to using a Bit Torren (BT) client
try uTorrent instead.
and use google to look for torrent sites.

It's pretty good. Just set the number of files you have to zero. That way you reduce your chances of getting busted. The default is 1000, and the feds look for people with 1000 or more.
