You can't. But some schools have an after school religion club. I'm sure you can preach all you want there.

IF you are talking about American public schools, you can "preach":

* after class
* before class
* during breaks (lunch)

You cannot preach during class instruction time. You may have a "sermon" be the subject of a paper you write, and if called upon to present it aloud, you may do so.

I recommend that you do your preaching in such a way that it doesn't intrude on other school activities. You ought not to drown out other things, like a another extracurricualr group.

Be courteous.

Also, certain types of speech are prohibited, and you'd best learn about "hate speech". I would hope that you wouldn't indulge in hate speech anyway, but I'm trying to cover all the bases.

Do NOT, in your "preaching", denigrate other religions. If the only way you can think of to bring people to your message is by talking down others, you will not be a success.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Mattthew 5:16

For now, don't be concerned about preaching. At present time, allow the Lord to work on your character. Let your personality be a shining example of the Christ-like way to live. Ask the Lord to come into your heart and purify you, perfecting you in all manners. Then believe with all your heart that He will, because He promised He would (Read: Ezekiel 36:25-32; 2 Samuel 22:33; Psalm 18:32; Psalm 138:8; 2 Timothy 3:17; Hebrews 13:20-21)

When the Lord feels you are ready, He will present you with opportunities to share the truth with your schoolmates. Be sure that that truth is God's Truth. Don't teach doctrines of man, just present God's holy truth from the Bible.

God bless you, I will keep you in prayer!

You can preach all you want. The ACLU has supported all cases where people wanted to preachin school. The only issue is that a representative of the school or the state (e.g. a teacher) can't preach while in that role because this would compromise others' rights. See the difference?

You can in school -- even in a public school but it can ONLY take place during what is called non-instructional time and cannot be led by any adult because, technically, they work for the state. The students may certainly take the initiative on faith sharing and can wear "valid" religious garb: A yarmulke/Kippa for male Jews and a Hijab -- head/neck covering for Islamic women. A T-shirt proclaiming God is Love must be allowed but one stating that God is dead cannot be allowed as it would incite others.

Religious garb for teachers MAY be worn but the administration does not have to support it.

If your school allows you to hand out Avon books, military fliers, rollerskating coupons and the like, then it MUST allow you to have out religious ephemera. If it has a policy of no booklets/brochures of any sort, only then can it deny the handing out of religious stuff.

Teachers may speak about religion in appropriate subjects -- for instance in Social Studies -- but not in any manner so as to try to proselytize anyone.

Public schools can give their outdated books, supplies, computers, etc. to religious schools because the ultimate beneficiary is the children -- not the church directly.

Incidentally, Christmas Trees are not viewed as religious symbols but secular and so are allowed in schools.

Christmas CAN be celebrated in schools as long as the Jews can celebrate Hanukkah and other religious groups are allowed to celebrate their religious feasts. NO student can be forced to participate in the religious observance of another's faith.

You can't in a public school. Preach on your own time, not when I'm paying for your classmates to learn something.

If you are a student, you have the right to talk about your religion as long as you are not forcing it on anyone. If they listen, continue, if they get angry or request you not, shake the dust from your sandals and move on. TEACHERS and STAFF at the schools are the only ones NOT allowed to discuss religious beliefs.
