I am still on the South Beach Diet. Have already lost 84 lbs. I do the Firm for 1 hr. a day.
Taking only Sun. off.

When I still feel hungry, I drink a 12 oz. glass of water, to be honest, usually Propel Water, made by Gatorade. It only has 3 grams of sugar in it, and NO calories.

I always make it habit also to drink a Full 8 oz. glass of water, spring or the Propel Water, right before eating any meal. This helps ALOT too.

Best of Luck to You and to your family.

Have a Calm, Peaceful, Happy 2007' Year !!

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

Sometimes hunger stems from not having enough nutrients in the body. If you do get enough nutrients, there is something in your diet that is blocking them or you are simply not eating enough.

Fruits & veggies and protein will keep your hunger at bay.
Olive oil on your salads or veggies
Stop the junk foods and sugary sodas & diet sodas too
It's amazing how less you crave when these foods are not a part of your diet
Raw nuts (almonds, cashiews, pecans, walnuts) on your salads
healthy peanut butter with whole wheat bread/toast

To keep hunger at bay your fat/proteins/carbs should be in balance. (read "A week in the Zone")

eating a good protien in the morning will stick with you longer in the day and reduce cravings for quite some time. eggs, meats ect. eating carbs and sugars only make you crave more though they are most filling attempt drinking a full glass or TWO with every meal this will not fill you stomach but it will you bladder ( next to it ) causing a more full fealing. this will also reduce you intake if you wanted to think about losing weight. good luck

Water can make you feel full if you drink large & consistant quantities of it. Some times, thirst can be mistaken for hunger. When you feel a hunger pang, drink a full glass of water. If the hunger pang returns, opt for another glass. What 30 minutes and the hunger pangs should subside.

Bananas are very good at filling you up, or giving you the sense of being filled up, they come with their own "wrapping", and they are excellent for potassium to aid in caring for the human's musculature and heart. AND, THEY'RE CHEAP!!!! As a former "maniacal" bicyclist of thousands of miles of experience, I know this from experience for sure. God Bless you.
