It really depends on how your past relationship was going. If it was a good, honest, friendly-love, then definately go for it. But not too fast. Don't go and ask her out just yet. Slowly rekindle the relationship over a cup of coffee or a walk in the park. Become friends first. Let her know that she can trust you again and that you really want the relationship to work. So definately keep your hopes up if you really care about her, and it sounds like you do considering you just got back from college with beautiful campus girls every corner you turn, and you still have a thing for this girl.

Are you back for good now?
If you think you have a chance and she gives you hints that you do then you should wait around... however you need to be careful...
You broke up with her to go away to college, and although the only other option would have been a long distance relationship (and they SUCK), she may still feel like you broke up with her to move onto bigger and better things, but now that you're back from that you want her back.
I think she is trying to gain some control here because the ball was always in your court. If you think it's worth it, then hang around, but don't mess her about because she won't forgive you.
Good luck.

Are you back for good? I can understand where your ex is coming from, you caused her some hurt. You'll need to take it slow and easy. I would say keep your hopes neutral. It sounds like she hasn't totally written you off. Don't push her and it may happen for ya'll again.

Let her know your intentions with a promise that you won't leave her again if things work out. See a relationship coach together and take things very slowly.

well, she feels betrayed because you broke up with her when you left and i dont blame her. if you really care about her then show her you are sorry for what you did if you just want to play with her head stay away from her and let her find someone that will respect her for who she is.
