I am 23 and started gaining weight since I changed jobs from a waitress to an Accounting Clerk. I have gained approx 10 - 15 lbs and wanted to try to lose some of that if not all of it.

I am 5'1
128lbs
medium build
I wouldnt say I am a couch potato but I do not excorsize on a very regular basis...

I am trying to cut calories and I am not sure if what I am eating on the diet is right or not.

I cut down to 1300 cal per day.

If you know anything about calorie counting and weight loss please let me know.

I'd start out by counting the calories you eat on a normal basis before cutting down and only cutting down 500 less than that. I wouldn't jump down much lower than 500 as it could lead to binges which will further lead to weight gain. Just be healthy, start exercising more, and try not to starve yourself. You can lose this weight! good luck!

Make sure you look at serving sizes on packages since often they would list the calories for one serving so if you eat a small bag of potato chips that's two servings so double the calories... also try to not only cut down your calories but change the type of food you eat... for example incorporate more healthy foods, which will allow you to eat more but still take in less calories... hope that helps... :)

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.
