Because white girls looks altogether different than what they see in their community.. and one more thing.. color has always been one of the main attribute while deciding beauty of a girl.. In asia.. a girl with fair look is always preferred over wheatish color.. that's what how they see.. no reasoning into that.. and white girls gets advantage here.

Because they look most 'American'. And living in Japan, that 'American beauty' is rarely seen and considered 'exotic'. Believe me, spent most of my life in Japan. It's pathetic, now people there are trying to look American. (blonde hair, tan skin, creased eyes.) lol. they try SO hard.
