help me get rid of this dull ache in my heart?

Question

When me and and my first love split up,we decided to remain friends.However,we nearly got back together again on two occasions but stopped ourselves for fear of getting hurt again.He became my best friend and my confidant.But then i met a boy i fell in love with.During this though,i realised i still had feelings for my first love so i left him for my first love.He told me how much he loved me and would do anything for me.I soon realised it was the wrong decision,and i told my first love that even though he was my best friend it wasnt going to work out and i was really sorry etc.My head was a mess.So i'm back with my boyfriend and my best friend/first love hasnt talked to me since.First,i tried getting over the death of our friendship,but like i said i have a dull ache in my heart that no matter how hard i try wont go away.I still catch him just looking at me but he wont talk to me.if i cant be with him or without him what the hell do i do?

The first thing you have to do is tell him how you feel. It will be hard but if you have to text it, mail it, email it or whatever you have to. I had the same exp. a while ago but me and my first love got back together. It;s hard to be in love with someone you are friends with first because when times are down you want that friend back and you get the boyfriend answer but it is a good foundation for a relationship. When my current b/f (my first love) and I were broke up and he had a g/f I just left my feelings on his machine and in the end it worked. They broke up and me and him got back together because he knew how I felt. Hang in there sweetie, it's hard but you have to do what feels best for you and your heart.

First having mixed feelings is normal. I'm not sure that either are your real love, although over time one may become so. Love happens when you are ready for it. When you really fall in love you'll know it and there will be no doubts. So be patient and wait. Things will sort themselves out all over time. Refusing to talk to someone is a little immature, but he may grow out of it. Give it time, good things are worth waiting for.

I am sorry hun... I know that pain, and I understand how you are feeling. You can't get rid of this kind of pain with any medication. This is what sucks. This kind of pain is only healed by time and prayer. Just keep in mind that things happen for a reason. Try your best to go on.... Good luck :)

Well, if your first love is truly a friend, he will understand. I'm sure time will heal this. If he is still upset with you, then he really wasn't a friend after all. It's hard losing a friend, but not at the cost of the person you love. Give it some time......best of luck to you.

it sounds like you and your ex never really got over your relationship. it is not healthy to be so close to an ex so soon after a break up....you never truly detach from being boyfriend and girlfriend. give it some time, and im sure your friendship will return. i think u jst both need to realise that you are not meant to be together.
