I've already been to St. Thomas and I would like something out of the United States. But, I don't want something that is in Thailand or that far away.

How about the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico? It's tropical, foreign, there are Mayan ruins to visit, and it's not that far from the U.S. It's where I'd like to go.

The birds go South for winter! I don't mean the non-feathered ones. Australia, South Africa, South America, Falklands, Azores and some Pacific areas that are not being blasted by typhoons.

Many island nations are also warm in winter but not terribly hot. Just remember one item, the pundits are predicting a very warm 2007.

Happy Sunning!

Depending on where you are, hawaii should be warm enough.
It's get a little too warm for me in summer though. I prefer it during the winter season. Mid December to Mid April is high season in hawaii. Although sometimes it may rain. But it's more expensive there during this season.
Australia is great, but I guess you don't want to go there, maybe too far for your budget.

The Carib pretty much guarantees hot days, little rain that time of year so hard to go wrong there. I love Barbados..have you been there? Jamaica has some lovely resorts too. Two people in my office have been to Cayman Islands several times (Westin) and loved it......
Costa Rica....went last year and loved that too...went to Pacific Coast where there is a FABULOUS MARRIOTT ....highly recommend that place....

Costa Rica. It's around 82 most days, and cool at night for sleeping. People are wonderful, but if you get away from the touristy joints you'll need your Spanish.
