I've never drank a drop of alcohol in my life - but if someone else wants to, I don't judge. All I ask is that they please be responsible about it. No being drunk 24/7, no drinking and driving (or buzzed driving), no being violent/ignorant when you drink, etc... As long as he was just going out with the guys on the occasional weekend, or like having a beer while watching the game, I wouldn't mind. But if all he thought about was drinking and hardcore partying, then I would give him a choice - me or the alcohol. What he chose would be up to him and I wouldn't care either way. If he chose alcohol, I'd just find someone new/better and sober.

I don't hate men who choose not to drink. Drinking is a personal choice.
Drinking in excess is just plain stupid. Why would someone want to be ill, perhaps get behind the wheel of a car because they aren't thinking straight and injure someone, or think they are bigger men for getting drunk, or have resulting health problems, or start behaving or say things they will regret when they sober up?
I admire a man who can be his own person, who is intelligent, thoughtful and a gentleman.
Why not consider an alternate venue to meet like-minded women, such as a hobby you enjoy or a sport (ski/hike), or take a night school general interest course? Birds of a feather, flock together...you need to meet someone who is on your own level. You are worth it!
Good luck and I hope I've been able to help.

two of my boyfriends were non drinkers and it bothered me with one and not the other. I think the difference was how they approached it. One said that he didn't drink because it was "stupid" and the other because of the same thing you did, family history. When we would go out, he would offer the wine list and wouldn't be judgemental if i went out with my friends and had a few drinks. The other guy, come to find out, dated an alcoholic which turned him off of drinking. Be upfront about it but don't be judgemental, that's my advice. I personally don't care if a guy doesnt drink just please say why, you know?

You're attractive to me already cuz you choose not to drink! I've been in 2 relationships with alcoholics (?) and tho I like to have drinks with my current bf, it's nice to see a man who doesn't need to get drunk. Absolutely women are attracted to guys who don't drink.

Of course. I'm sure you will find someone attracted to your will power and responsibility. Some girls don't like people who spend their time getting drunk and picking up women in bars.

Yes! Most guys in bars are jackasses anyhow, I don't know how you think girls are commonly attracted to them (the ones that are probably have got a bit too much to drink! lol) It's good that you are smart enough to not drink.

yes, I actually don't expect my significant other to always be going out. Way to expensive and I have a grandfather very sick because he was an alcoholic and he killed his liver. Drinking doesn't make you better then anyone else, not drinking is your personal choice if a woman can't appreciate that then screw her.

Of course! I am one of those girls who date and in fact I LOVE guys who don't drink or know how to drink. It's not bad to drink sometimes, but you have to enjoy alcohol, not let alcohol enjoys you,
