I think it is 15X7 and if I go with an American racing ventura rim that is a 15x8 will it fit without any scrubbing, and how much will it stick out. I have no lift kit on the jeep.

Your Jeep originally came with a 15x7 wheel from the factory. The 15x8 wheel will fit as long as the backspacing is correct. 3.75 inches should fit without much trouble. You may have to adjust your steering stops to keep the tires from rubbing on the springs at full lock. They will stick out of the fenders a little.

Others have stated which you will possibly desire to purchase the mushy suited and the help bars for it. What I even have not seen anybody point out yet is which you will additionally might desire to purchase door surrounds too. those are plastic brackets that connect the right of the windshield around the sting of the door all the way down to the physique close to the door handle. those are required because of the fact they furnish a lip for the mushy suited to hook into (like the metallic lip on the physique). those that got here on my Wrangler are plastic and restoration employing rubber seals at the two ends and a pair of bolts on the right. I force a 'ninety 8 TJ however so i'm undecided how they are going to hook up on your YJ or in the event that they can be made the right same way. in any case good success and shop on Jeepin'!

sizes of rims have varied for all brands and even in the factory set-ups---best to stay with the factory size as your car computer is set OEM for a particular size....if you change then you need totry the wheel and tires at no $$ risk and get a guarantee that all that works on your JEEP....I have two Jeeps and I do not go to switching without a guarantee and "no $$ RISK"" ---if you cannot get that at the tire store that you go to then try another place ----talk about this with the tire DUDE.....do not pay unless you know that his advice is correct........
