I currently use two users on my computer which runs on Windows 2000, the admin and a normal one. When I use my normal user I am completely denied from installing any programs that I've downloaded.
How do I change this so that I can install any program for my non-admin user?

Log in as the admin, click start, control panel, user accounts.

With Windows 2000 you have to be an administrator to install (most) programs. Go in to the control panel and the user icon, and switch your non-admin account to have admin rights. Install the program, and them switch it back.
Or, right click on the install file, and select to "Run it as another user", and then enter the admin id and password. You will be able to run it using your non-admin account.

You don't want to change that, it is what gets you in trouble with spyware and trojans. Only use the admin account for installs, and I strongly suggest not being connected to the Internet when you do that.
If you want to ignore my advice, sign in as admin, and give the other account admin rights. Like I said, really bad idea.

The normal user may not be given enough privileges.
To do it, take your admin account, then go to user settings and you can do it there.
