An artist. Did some freaky, and I do mean FREAKY works. Big on the penis and boob stuff. Lot of that kind of thing interjected into his works, Art Institute in Chicago has many Pablo pieces. There is also an huge iron thing he created that looks like a baboon at one of the plazas there, maybe Daley Center, can't remember. But I remember when the city acquired it, a lot of controversy of that monstrosity.

he vas really a genius! even though I am not so crazy about his art works.
He had several phases in his life: like pink, blue, cubist, etc.
He was born in Spain, grew up with a father who was a tipical XiX century realist painter, but actually Picasso made his most important works in France. Cesane's works had particulary strong influence on him. When making cubist paintings, he worked and consulted with George Braque, an other cubist painter.
Even though his cubist paintings initiated the birth of abstract art, picasso actually has never made an abstract art. he always painted something, or someone.
he adored womena nd had many of them . he also married several times.
well I must go now. Hoe this helped. :-)

I had a friend with an art degree who grew up just outside Chicago. We visited the Chicago Museum of Art together one weekend and he was full of facinating details about the pieces and the artists. He had a lot to say about Picasso, whose early work I liked but later work I didn't care for, especially cubism and the blue period. (OK, I'm a weirdo, most of his work just gave me the creeps.) Unfortunately, the only thing I can remember my friend saying about him was that he would withhold orgasms from women when he was having sex with them. I remember thinking how rude it was...
