I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Limit portion sizes and increase the amount of activity.
Only these two things together will mean a weight loss.
You don't need to exercise to exhaustion, just be as active as possible. Walk as often as possible. Park your car as far away from store entrances as you can. Then add a little fun exercise like a little light soccer, etc.
Don't make a big issue about food. Just make the portions smaller and no seconds.
Try to go natural, as natural as possible. Add as many fruits, vegs, and whole grains as you want. Try to avoid breads, cereals, pastas.
Best of luck!

Sigh.... Eat less, exercise more. It's really that simple - burn off more calories than you take in, and you will lose weight.
Since he is 13, it might be a good idea to have him see a doctor before starting a diet, though.

It's never easy to get a child to do something they don't want to do... especially if it deals with them having to engage in a lot of activity that's not in their liking...
But, in order for him to lose it, it's all about eating right (or atleast altering his diet, giving him lots of veggies and fruits)
But the most vital is engaging in PHYSICAL ACTIVITY everyday... go on walks with him, put him in a sport... and if that doesn't work, make the losing weight an adventure! Find ways to brib him if all else fails! :o)
