This will about the 3rd time in the last week that I am answering this question or one similar. I will keep this answer short and sweet!
Don't get a haircut before shipping out. They will give you one anyhow, just so they can take off the rest of your hair.
Don't pack a bag, just stick a tooth brush in your jacket pocket. They take absolutely everything you own and everything you have on, and make you ship it home.
Get in shape, physically. Start building your stamina. Get into an aggressive running routine. Build up your upper body strength. The better shape you're in when you get to boot camp, the easier it will be, physically. Good luck! Semper Fidelis!

Aside from all of the physical training, be prepared to look hard at yourself. You are going to be thrown together with a group of about 80 people that you don't know, that come from different backgrounds, different situations. You are going to look inside yourself and see things that you don't like, some of the things your parents used to tell you might start to make a little more sense.
After the first couple of weeks, after you've had a little breaking in time (this period is harder for some, I'm not ashamed to say that I saw some of those things inside myself that I wouldn't like, and I cried), you'll come to realize that 99% of what you are doing is a mental game. It will actually become a little fun.
Don't be surprised if, after the rifle range (around week 8 or 9), you come back to the battalion barracks from the weapons battalion, and say to yourself "It's good to be home".
And no matter what you say, it will never be the right answer, no matter what you do, it will never be good enough. But no matter what you say or what you do, it will all be worth it.
Semper Fi, best of luck

my best advice is try to see as many people as possible before you leave. When you get to recruit training do as you are told, drill instructors are ment to test your breaking points, dont ever cry, thats the worst thing you can do. Dont be afraid to ask to use the head (toilet), there were a couple of recruits during the first week (receiving) did not ask to use the head and urinated on themselves. DONT let the DIs scare you, they are there for dicipline, after first phase youll love em, dont ever cross them though. (youll find recruit training the most fun time you'll ever have)
