Some colleges do offer merrit based scholarships for transfer students, so it might be an idea to check with them. Also, the colleges you applied to also have a list of scholarships on their website from outside companies and organizations. However, there are other free sources to locate financial aid, too.

First, fill out the FAFSA form because the figures do adjust from the community college level to the higher tuition rate at the college or university level.

Second, Google.com and Yahoo.com major companies with the word scholarship. Some offer college scholarships.

Third, Google.com and Yahoo.com college grants and scholarships based on computer science or computer technology for your state.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on the information you enter into a form.

Good luck!

Try Fastweb.com and check out the Computer Science scholarship. Also, look for scholarships that were offered by your current college.
